Losing someone dear to you is a very difficult and emotional time ...

... and it can be very challenging to know how to go about arranging the very best ceremony to say farewell – the very best way to reflect both your wishes and the wishes of your loved one. There is so much to think about and plan when we lose someone we love at the same time as we are coming to terms with our grief.

My approach is to support you and acknowledge and respect your grief, whilst creating a ceremony that will celebrate the life of your loved one in the very best way.

Often people are not aware of the choices available for the best way to remember their loved one. Of course, it may be that holding your ceremony in a church or crematorium is absolutely the right place - but it doesn’t have to be. With the owner’s permission, you could hold a ceremony in a wood, a meadow, at a sports club, in a hotel or even in your own garden!

We are all so unique in our lives and I can make sure those individual qualities are celebrated as you say goodbye. Your loved one’s ceremony can be as unique and individual as they were in life.

As an Independent Celebrant, I can craft a bespoke ceremony for your loved one to include any readings, poetry or music and we can also include any religious content – prayers, hymns or readings – as well as humour if that would be appropriate. I can include any religion - or no religion. There are no set rules, so whatever your beliefs and whatever feels right to you, will be right.

What happens next?

Get in touch with me either directly or through your Funeral Director.
We will start with a free initial phone call so that you can be sure that I am the right celebrant for you.
We will then meet up face to face so that we can get to know each other and I can really get to understand the unique life story of your loved one. We will also share ideas that we could include, and I will then start to craft your ceremony.
Once I have written your ceremony, I will send it through to you so that you can check it through for accuracy.
I will keep in touch with you every step of the way to make sure that the ceremony I create is the very best ceremony for you to say goodbye.

What a wonderful tribute we (That's you & my family) gave my husband. We have had so so many lovely comments about the service, the songs, the photos, choice of poems and obviously T's tribute.
