Why choose an Independent Celebrant for your Wedding Day?
Simply put, it’s all about choice. There are just so many possibilities when you choose an Independent Celebrant for your wedding, meaning that you can make your ceremony truly personal – not only for you both but also for your guests; leading to a ceremony that will always be remembered by everyone there.
With a Celebrant-led ceremony, there are no rules and regulations to worry about. Your Celebrant will be able to tailor all of your hopes and dreams into creating your own bespoke ceremony – giving you total freedom and flexibility of choice.
Most Celebrants will only have one ceremony per day so, without any restrictions on time, it will be your ceremony, your way and at the right time of day for you.
A Celebrant can conduct your ceremony wherever you choose – any venue, anywhere; licensed or not; indoors or outdoors; at home, in the garden or on the beach. Wherever you have always dreamt of having your ceremony – you can!
With a Celebrant-led ceremony, you choose who conducts the most important ceremony of your life. In the run up to your wedding, you and your Celebrant will have got to know each other really well and you will feel comfortable and secure knowing that it won’t be a stranger standing in front of you on your wedding day.
If you choose an Independent Celebrant and you wish to add any religious elements into the music, readings or content, you can! You can also ask your Celebrant to weave in any symbolic spiritual rituals that you would like included. Your Celebrant will have so many ideas that you may wish to include and they will have the time to go through them all with you.
You may choose to legalise your marriage with a Registrar before, or after, your Celebrant-led ceremony and you can do this with a basic register office service. Only the legal wording and paperwork is required for the register office so you can save everything else – including the rings and exchanging of vows – for your Celebrant-led wedding ceremony. Register office costs do vary, depending on which council area you’re in, but it is generally in the region of £50.
Independent Celebrants are self-employed so are not held back by traditions or restrictions. The celebrant profession arose to give couples more choice over the location, style and content of their wedding ceremony and the profession is growing every day as more and more couples realise that their choices can become a reality.
